A city can be smart without necessarily being a megalopolis. Longlaville is a small municipality with a population of 2,500 located in the Meurthe-et-Moselle region bordering on Luxembourg. Longlaville has signed an energy-performance contract with VINCI Energies that calls for the development of public lighting that meets the townspeople’s actual needs and expectations. The project is part of an ongoing discussion on the municipality’s development. The Mayor of Longlaville, Jean-Marc Duriez, describes the project.
