Electric mobility: what opportunities does it offer for power networks and the energy transition?

All lights are green for electric mobility! With more than 400,000 electric vehicles in France in 2020 and sales rising strongly, and given the French government’s intent to accelerate the rollout of both public and private charging stations, the e-mobility market is expanding rapidly. This increasingly raises the question of how to integrate the growing number of electric vehicles into the existing electrical system.

And rather than a source of stress, could the boom in electric mobility represent an opportunity for tomorrow’s networks?
