The Big Apple is counting on new technologies to implement the Mayor’s One New York Plan for a Strong and Just City. His strategy for achieving this goal has four tiers: expanding connectivity for all; piloting and scaling smart technologies to improve government services and better the lives of all New Yorkers; fostering education and encouraging innovation by helping government agencies discover smart city solutions; and, lastly, publishing guidelines to ensure equitable and responsible deployment of smart city technologies.
