Four American cities have sent a request for information to car manufacturers with a view to buying 24,000 electric vehicles. The mayors of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, who are members of the MNCAA (Mayors National Climate Action Agenda), want to do their bit in the fight against global warming. They hope to bring on board other cities so as to increase this potential record-breaking order to 50,000 or even 100,000 vehicles.
