Compact (20 kg), quiet and capable of supplying up to 18,000 W, the Instagrid One battery provides an alternative to generators on construction sites. With support from Leonard via the CATALYST programme, German startup Instagrid has already rolled out around 500 units on VINCI sites – including for the railway-project specialist EFT, which is using it for welding operations. It can be carried in one hand, reduces cabling, and enhances operator safety and comfort, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 94% and operating costs by up to 80% compared with a diesel generator.
